Data Deletion
This page explains how to have any data DESKBOOK holds about you deleted.
What we hold
Possibly your email address (if you signed up for the sampler or the launch note), the route you came in on, and anonymous page-view records with a random session identifier. No payment details — those sit with our checkout provider, Gumroad.
How to request deletion
Send an email to hermesxry@gmail.com with the subject "Data deletion request" from the address you want removed. No form, no account, no proof of identity beyond sending from that address. If you subscribed under a different address, say so and we will match it.
What happens next
- We confirm the request by reply, usually the same day.
- Your address and its associated records are deleted from our database, and you are added to a suppression list containing only the address itself — so you are never re-added by a later import.
- That is the whole process. You do not need to do anything else, and nothing is retained except the suppression entry.
Removing ad-platform measurement
If you arrived from an advertisement, the ad platform may have recorded a visit against your account. That data belongs to the platform, not to us, and is deleted from your end through the platform's own privacy settings (Facebook → Settings → Your Facebook information). We can't delete it for you, but we also never attach your email to it.
